Anthony Fowler is a civil and structural engineer with over 30 years’ experience and he personally carries out every assignment for Acumen Engineers. He was involved in the design and construction of New Parliament House in Canberra and worked on the construction of the Capita Centre in Sydney, along with numerous other commercial and residential premises in Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia.

Following the 1989 Newcastle earthquake, Anthony undertook over 4000 engineering inspections and established a reputation for concise and accurate reporting of building conditions. He subsequently became the principal consulting engineer to a range of government departments, insurers, loss adjusters, builders and architects involved in the restoration and retrofitting of damaged buildings. Anthony has maintained continuous involvement with the insurance industry for over 20 years and is also an accredited mediator and adjudicator.

Anthony has carried out numerous assignments for private and commercial clients across a range of structures, including high-rise buildings, hotels, historical buildings, schools, industrial sites, bridges, roads, tunnels, houses, townhouses and apartments.

Anthony established Acumen Engineers in 1990.
