Inner-Sydney commercial high rise

A multi-national corporation was about to relocate its Sydney operations to nine floors of a newly-constructed high-rise tower in the inner city. As part of their relocation, they were undertaking large-scale construction works to reconfigure the floor space and fit out their offices. We were engaged to document existing conditions and defects before renovation commenced.

Working to a short deadline, we systematically surveyed the nine floors in question – around 11,700 square metres in total – documenting the condition of columns, glazing, fixtures, lift foyers, toilets, external terraces, services and visible infrastructure.

Our detailed written and photographic records set clear, impartial benchmarks to later assess any damage that could occur as a result of the construction works and to identify the pre-existing conditions to which the premises should be returned at the end of the lease. We delivered hard and electronic copies of the survey report to our client for distribution to the owners of the high-rise tower.
